| Recently retired from the McDonalds Hunter Jaegers, Katie’s game was characterised by her speed and strength and her on court determination accounted for the majority of her success. After completing her HSC, Katie moved to Canberra to experience the Australian Institute of Sport for two years. Her time spent at the AIS developed a strong base where she could propel herself into the National Netball League competition. However Katie’s climb to the top of her sport was disrupted in 2004 when she was involved in a major car accident. This accident claimed the life of her mum and left Katie in hospital for months recovering from major injuries. Doctors told Katie she would never be able to return to the netball court and would probably continue to walk with a limp. After continuing rehabilitation Katie made her return to the National Netball League with the McDonalds Hunter Jaegers just one year later in 2005. This feat shows a young athlete with a determination like no other. Katie also managed to continue on and complete a degree in Teaching/Physical Education. This also makes Katie great at coaching clinics and any sporting event where she has a positive impact on young athletes. Katie tells her story of triumph from her heart and each time amazes those listening. | Running a Clinic
This is based on the assumption that the named Babble employee will be running the clinic by themselves. If this is not the case please state so in the enquiry or booking form. This rate also only applies to coaching a team sport involving 1 to 20 people and individual sports from 1 to 5 people. If the number of people being coached is more than this a new rate will be generated. This rate does not include travel time over one hour. See travel component. |
