1000th game for Peter Walsh

Best wishes to Peter Walsh who will call his 1000th AFL/VFL match this Saturday for ABC Radio Sport.

As luck would have it, Peter will be calling the local showdown Adelaide Crows v Port Power live from AAMI Stadium.

Peter called his first VFL match in 1978 when South Melbourne played Fitzroy at the Junction Oval. 1000 games later a Peter loves it just as much as the day he started.

Good luck Peter, all of us here at Babble hope you have a fantastic call.

With so much knowledge about the world of sport, Peter makes a very interesting guest speaker. To book him for your next function just click here.

Kylie Thomas wins World Champs

A big congratulations goes to Babble personality Kylie Thomas for winning the 2009 World FISAF Sport Aerobic Championships.  The Championships were held in Martinique, the Caribbean Dec 1st – 6th, and over 700 athletes from all over the World attended the event, 19 of the top individual females from 12 different countries were all contending for the senior female title.
This being Kylie’s 7th World Championship event over the 10 years she has been competing in Sport Aerobics was the highlight of her successful career.  After finishing 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd at previous World Championship events this was truly the icing on the cake after a fantastic year for Kylie. Having won the 2009 Australian and South Australian Championships leading up to the World Champs Kylie went into the event knowing she was right on track to deliver a World Championship winning routine.
“The year has been perfect, i could not have asked for any more.  I have won every round of competition, both nationally and internationally, and I knew that if I perform to my maximum at the World Championships that I would be very difficult to beat.  It was great to be able to live out my dream and become the no.1 Sport Aerobic athlete in the World.  It has been a long time coming and it makes every moment I have spent in the gym over the past 10 years worth while.”

Feel free to send your congratulations to Kylie through Babble or if you would like to book Kylie for your next event then click here.
