Babble Netball Clinics 2009

 

Clinic Dates:                  Maitland – Sunday 28th June 9am – 3pm

                                                Lakeside – Sunday 9th August 9am – 3pm

                                                Newcastle – Sunday 2nd August 9am – 3pm

                                                Singleton – TBA

Age groups:                    The clinic will be available to those aged 9 – 15. Players of any level are invited to attend.

 

What to bring:              Recess and Lunch, netball, sunscreen, warm clothes, rain jacket, drink bottle.

 

Cost:                                    $30 per athlete

 

Registration:                 Registration forms will be delivered to associations and can be handed out as desired. Posters advertising the clinic inform readers that they can get a rego form from the clubhouse.

Clinic Procedure:

 

 

9:00am                                  Registration

9:15 am                                  Welcome and move to groups

9:30am                                   Group Warm Up

9:45am                                   Groups rotate through the 5 x 20 minute sessions of

 

a)      Individual ball skills

b)      Partner ball skills

c)      Dodging/attacking

d)      Speed/Footwork

e)      Special awareness

11:00am                              Recess

11:30am                              Specialised sessions. Athletes rotate through each group. 

                                                 4 x 30 minute Sessions

 

a)      Shooting – Technique, accuracy and movement

b)      Midcourt – Decision making, feeding and driving

c)      Defence – Man on man, over shot and zone

d)      Games – Hospital tag, Teddy torment, Snakes

 

1:30pm                                Lunch

2:00pm                               Match Play

2:45                                       Cool Down/Wrap Up

3pm                                       Depart
