Ben Demery – Cyclist

Ben is a vision imparied athlete that has represented in cycling at all levels. Ben has won numerous state and national titles but his biggest achievement to date is winning two silver medals at the Beijing Paralympics. Ben has proved himself as a truly elite athlete.

Matt Ezzy – Ice Hockey

Raising the profile of Ice Hockey in Australia Matt is an amazing athlete who demonstrates the upmost level of resilience. He is Australia’s leading goal keeper and played a major role in leading our national side to a gold medal in the recent World Championships.

Kathyrn Gill – Football/Soccer

A striker with the Matilda’s, Kathryn first represented her country at the age of 16 and now has 28 caps. A keen ambassador for the sport, Kathyrn has done numerous public appearances and work with the media.

Rosemary Hayward – Athletics

Rosemary tells a story of persistance and dedication. Success came in 2006 when she represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games winning gold in the 4 x 400m relay and was the fastest Australian in the individual event.

Tim Lavis – Ultimate Frisbee

Tim is the figure head of Ultimate Frisbee in Newcastle. A fantastic coach for any age group Tim is available for once-off coaching clinics, or a series of sessions as part of a school PE curriculum.

Zoe Uphill – Olympic Rower

An extremely talented athlete Zoe has represented Australia in both Netball and Rowing. In her continuing rise to the top Zoe was selected to represent Australia in the 4x event in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A fantastic athlete to represent at any occasion.

Chris Warris – Ultimate Frisbee

Chris Warris is an Australian representative ultimate frisbee player with over 10 years of experience. Chris is also an Australian Sports Commission accredited coach and is keen to teach this great game to others, particularly high school students.

Prue Watt – Swimming (SWD)

Prue Watt is a visually impaired athlete who has excelled in the sports of swimming, slalom and giant slalom skiing. Prue has shown determination and dedication enabling her to become a truly remarkable elite athlete.

Katie Bradstock – Netball

Katie is perfect for a wide variety of events. She tells a story of motivation and determination and as a teacher has expertise in the areas of health and the importance of physical activity. A professional young lady who is a lot of fun.

Emma Koster – Netball

Emma is an inspiration. With Type 1 diabetes Emma has continued to excel in her sport representing Australia at a junior level. Her bubbly personality ensures she is a delight at all functions.

Joanne Peters – Football/Soccer

Joanne Peters is an established member of the Matildas, being in the team for over ten years and is currently the vice-captain. She now desires to use her leadership and experience to help others to acheive their goals.
