Jane is a Thunderbird

Thunderbirds are go!

It’s time for me to pack my things, say goodbye to the lovely city of Newcastle and head back to my home state. I have had a wonderful time in Newcastle playing with the Hunter Jaegers, working at Sticky Advertising and meeting the great people within the area who made it feel like home from the very moment I moved here in January 2005.

But “you are a long time retired” and that in itself is one of the very reasons I have decided to strap the sneakers back on and try to break my way back into the netball scene. I have been fortunate enough to have been picked up by the Adelaide Thunderbirds for the 2009 season which kicks off in April/May; however I will be moving to Adelaide in mid November to start the crazy pre-season!

I have been in heavy training for the last few months trying to get my body back to some sort of fitness level before I get flogged at the first pre-season session. It has been good to get back to training for something again rather than force myself to run around the block because I know it’s good for me.

With all of this going on, please be rest assured that Babble will continue in the Hunter Region and is actually expanding to South Australia. Read my article Babble opens in Adelaide to see how Babble is spreading its wings.

Babble opens in Adelaide

Adelaide

Babble is opening up its doors in Adelaide, that’s right, as well as playing netball for the Adelaide Thunderbirds I will be launching Babble in the city of churches.

So if you are an athlete in South Australia that has represented your state, your country or been involved at a national level within your sport and you are interested in joining Babble then send me and email at  sa@babblemanagement.com.au.

On the other side, if you are a business, school or association within South Australia that is interested in having a Babble athlete attend your next event then send me an email with your details and I will do my best to find an athlete that is right for you. I hope to have South Australian athletes on the site as quickly as I can find them so stay tuned for new ones all the time.

Babble has had great success in the Hunter region and will continue on with Katie Bradstock remaining on the team to ensure that the people of the Hunter have access to some of the best athletes in the country. If you have an event coming up that you would like and athlete to attend then email Katie at nsw@babblemanagement.com.au or have a look at our athletes page and go through to the booking form to reserve them for your next event.

Babble 2 years old!

Hip Hip Hooray!

As Babble is about to turn a big 2 years old in November, we thought we would give it a birthday present – a brand spanking new website!

This new site will allow us to keep you up to date with what the Babble athletes are up to in their own areas as well as report about where they have been appearing as a part of Babble.
The site will run as it always has, allowing you to identify athletes that you can use at your next corporate lunch, coaching clinic or school presentation.

Also, once Babble has been established in Adelaide you will see some more changes to the site as we split the athletes into their respective states to make it easier for you to find that local element.

We thank you for the last 2 years of business and hope that you will continue to use Babble for the next 2 years and beyond for your events.
