Peter Walsh joins Babble Management
It is with great pleasure that Babble welcomes Peter Walsh to the team. A formidable lover of all sports (and
loud shirts!), Peter should be on top of your list for your next event whether it be as as a guest speaker or to MC. You may recognise the name as Peter is an ABC radio sports broadcaster not only for South Australia but for ABC Grandstand National as well.
Peter has been to the last five Olympic Games and three Commonwealth Games as a commentator and during his travels has met and interviewed some of the biggest names and personalities on the planet.
Peter will be looking to call his 1000th AFL game next year and he can only hope that it will be calling his beloved Hawthorn side of which he has Emcee’d their last five Best and Fairest nights. Apart from AFL, Peter also enjoys the opportunity to call the Basketball, Netball and the Cricket both nationally and internationally and has won serveral awards from these national sporting bodies.
With so many stories, tales and yarns from across the world, Peter would be an invaluable asset to your next event. To book Peter Walsh, click here to be taken through to his profile page.
Netball Clinics Hit the Hunter
Young athletes of the Hunter Region have the chance to further their skills at one of 4 Netball Clinics to be run in the area. A group of former Hunter Jaegers players headed by Katie Bradstock have come together to share their knowledge and experience with the young, talented athletes of the area. The clinics are aimed at club level players aged 9 - 15 years of age. The clinics will cater for players of all levels and will give athletes the chance to learn new skills, drills and tactics for the sport they love. Clinic numbers will be capped at 100 to ensure athletes are offered high level coaches and reasonable numbers in groups.Â
Babble congratulates Joey Peters on a brilliant career
Babble Management would like to congratulate Joanne Peters on a fantastic international career representing Australia’s female football team, the Matildas. Veteran midfielder Joanne Peters played her last international match last month and is currently enjoying a well deserved break.
Peters retired after a 13 year career with the Matildas, in which she scored 28 goals in 109 appearances. As vice captain of the Aussie team Joey was only one of 3 players to reach the 100 game milestone. She played in three women’s World Cups (1999, 2003 and 2007) and at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Peters played for several Australian clubs, including Newcastle in the inaugural season of the W-League, and also had stints with clubs in the US and Brazil.
Joanne is now heavily involved in making sure football continues to grow in this country. An accredited coach, Joanne is currently coaching at Hunter Sports High within their specialist Football program and also runs numerous clinics for associations and schools across the state. If you want to book Joey for your next clinic, appearance or speech then click through to her profile page here.
Congratulations on a fantastic career Joey.
Babble affiliated with the Thunderbirds
Babble is proud to annouce that the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Babble Management have joined forces. This means you can jump on to the Babble website and search through the list of Thunderbirds players who have signed up and see who you can get for your next function, coaching clinic or appearance. How good would it be to have Natalie Medhurst speak at your next event or Kate Beveridge run a coaching clinic for your team or association?
By clicking on either the Babble athletes photos on the right hand side of the home page or the Athletes tab on the navigation bar, you will be directed through to the Babble athletes list after choosing South Australia as your state. From there you can click on any of the Thunderbirds players, read a bit about them and then scroll down to find out how much they charge for certain events. This way you can stay within your budget but still have a Thunderbird attend your next event. Once you have decided upon your athlete simply click the “Book Now” link down the bottom of their page or click the “Booking Form” tab on the navigation bar. Fill in the details, click send and you will have a response within 48 hours about your event.
If you simply have an enquiry then we would still love to hear from you. All you need to do is go to the contact us page, fill in your details and your enquiry and send it off to us. We will do our absolute best to cater for your needs.
Keep ckecking back all the time as there are still more Thunderbirds players signing up.
Westfield Matildas V Italy
The Westfield Matildas are straight into their international campaign this year with some of the girls not having too much of a rest between the inaugural Westfield W-League competition and their first game against Italy on the 31st of January.
Keep an eye out for Babble’s very own Joanne (Joey) Peters and Katie Gill during the two games, the first being held in Sydney at Parramatta Stadium and the second match on the 7th of February at Canberra Stadium. Both matches kick off at 4pm and if you can’t make it to the games, make sure you tune into ABC1 for all the coverage.
Good luck to all the girls and may it be a succesful two games for the Westfield Matildas.
